Business: Distributor of DVD and Laser Disc Products and Equipment.
Interfaces include: QANTEL Host system interface, Tracer X manifesting interface, Carousel and Pick-to-Light interfaces, conveyors interface.
Challenge: Image, as a leading distributor of DVD and laser disc across the country, was challenged to maintain current high standards of customer service while reducing cycle time (in order to guarantee next day delivery) in the new e-commerce era that increased their volume through internet sales. This need drove the opening of the a new state of the art distribution facility and an upgrade of their current operational processes to include the use of technology to reduce labor costs and increase quality at the same time.
Results: With the Efill America technology, Image’s DC is now a fully mechanized facility with Pick-to-Light, Carousels, automated Conveyors and RF Data Collection with the following operations implemented:
- Returns processing
- Inbound QA inspection
- Kitting/assembly operations
- Picking with Carousel and Pick-to-Light
- Zone/Max velocity directed putaway
- Wave management/evaluation
- RF directed batch replenishment
Corporate Express
Business: Commercial office products direct marketer and distributor.
Headquarters: Broomfield, Colorado; with 23 sites in U.S. implemented to date with Hub Distribution Centers supporting satellite warehousing operations.
Interfaces include: HP/9000 mainframe Host Interface, Clippership shipping/manifest system interface, pick to light interface, conveyor interface.
Results: Today, Corporate Express has completed implementation of the 21 facilities and is currently fulfilling their Same day order processing requirements using the Efill America technology as the foundation for their operations. Some of the key Efill America functions implemented include:

Business: Third Party Logistics Provider.
Headquarters: Atlanta, Georgia; with 120,000 sq. ft. Atlanta facility.
