Challenge
Image, as a leading distributor of DVD and laser disc across
the country, was challenged to maintain current high standards
of customer service while reducing cycle time (in order to guarantee
next day delivery) in the new e-commerce era that increased their
volume through internet sales. This need drove the opening of
the a new state of the art distribution facility and an upgrade
of their current operational processes to include the use of technology
to reduce labor costs and increase quality at the same time.
Results
With the Efill America technology, Image's DC is now a fully
mechanized facility with Pick-to-Light, Carousels, automated Conveyors
and RF Data Collection with the following operations implemented:
Challenge
Through its rapid growth (primarily through acquisitions of many
regional and local players), Corporate Express was challenged
with aligning over two dozen branch DCs to a standard, optimized
set of operating procedures and systems that utilized the latest
technology to meet their requirement of high level of customer
service, including guaranteed Next day delivery. In addition,
their unique business model optimized relationships with suppliers
and thus, allows them to fill many orders with cross docking.
Results
Today, Corporate Express has completed implementation of the
21 facilities and is currently fulfilling their Same day order
processing requirements using the Efill America technology as
the foundation for their operations. Some of the key Efill America

Challenge
In growing their service division, Yellow needed to provide a
foundation for a hosted supply chain to manage warehouse activities
at the various distribution centers being used by Yellow customers
to deploy inventory. Their customers' key concerns were lack of
inventory visibility and the complexity of coordinating global
supply chain activities. Also, internet and third party deployment
were crucial to their implementation strategy.
Results

Yellow is now currently using HotWMS and HotVisibility in its
management of inventory for some of its key customers, such as

In order to compete in the marketplace, Warehouse Basics recognized
the need for technology to give them state of the art warehousing
and inventory control capabilities to improve customer service
and attain additional business.
Results
With Efill America, Warehouse Basics is now enabled with the
following warehouse functions for multiple customers, such as
Curwood, Viskase, and Hub 1 Logistics.
